Barrel aged for 16 months in 25 % new American Oak and 75% seasoned barrels. Our 2006 Syrah is comprised of 93% Syrah and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Picked in three stages of ripeness. The first stage was harvested at 19.5 Brix, the second at 22.0 Brix and the third at 24 Brix. The three stages each add a different component to the wine.

The 100% Estate wine was aged in American Oak barrels for 16 months using 25% new Oak; the balance of the cooperage between 1 and 4-year-old barrels. 95% Zinfandel 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

This H.B. Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon exemplifies the signature 2005 vintage. Its superb structure yields a wine with beautiful complexity and memorable vivacity.
